Hello! :) My name is Madeline and I am the owner of Holistic Home & Health.
After suffering from chronic health conditions in my youth, I sought out alternative modalities as a last resort for wellness. I began studying different types of traditional medicine and practices and soon found my love for meditation, herbalism, and energy work. I found solutions that actually worked for me, for the first time in my life, and I realized I had to share these tools with others. I founded Holistic Home & Health in 2020 to provide tools and support for those on their wellness journeys. In 2023, I founded Cottonwood Wellness Center with a group of alternative practitioners to provide an integrated care center for Northeast Colorado.
I am very passionate about helping others and supporting our rural community. Though I am not a native to the Great Plains, I consider it home. I am very grateful to have met and connected with so many wonderful people in Northeast Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska.
I have a background working with two local conservation districts to help support and preserve local agricultural values as well as the conservation of natural resources. I have used much of my agricultural knowledge to better support modalities like herbalism and aromatherapy. Conservation, resourcefulness, and reusability are important values to me.
I also have a canning and baking business, and love sharing my goodies with others! I incorporate my knowledge of herbalism into my jams & jellies, making medicinal and yummy treats!
In my spare time you can find me in my kitchen, hiking the plains, or wandering down the South Platte.
After my own experiences with Western Medicine, I realized that a key aspect was missing to most medical care - an integrated, and customized approach. I strongly believe that each person has their own unique health history (both individual and familial), background, and goals in life. Healthcare shouldn't come in a "cookie cutter" approach, which is why I value integrated care in my own practice.
I take into account each client's circumstances, background, and concerns to create a sustainable and reasonable management plan. I understand that there may be limitations when it comes to healthcare for a variety of reasons, and strive to work with each client to find a plan that will best work for them.
I use an integrated approach, incorporating my background as an Integrative Health & Reiki practitioner, Health & Wellness coach, Reflexologist, Aromatherapist, and Yoga & Meditation teacher, to provide integrated healing sessions. Furthermore, depending on what each client’s needs may be, I will use visceral and neural manipulation techniques, paired with reflexology and Reiki healing, to help release trauma from the body, on a physical and energetic level. I draw upon many aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, and Native American Medicine in my practice. During my first healing session with someone, I will conduct a full intake with a health history, current and past conditions, and wellness goals, then proceed with a full body scan in which I scan the physical body’s systems, the emotional body, the mental body, and the energetic body’s systems. I will then go ahead and address the client’s primary concerns, as well as anything I picked up during my full body scan. Often during my sessions, I talk and share with the client any messages or signs I am receiving from their bodies based on their reaction. I will also share with the client my interpretation of their health conditions, the root causes and imbalances, and how to rebalance and reintegrate the body. For some clients, a session may appear more as a Reiki and nutritional coaching session, for others, I may be performing neural and visceral manipulations and showing them yoga movements which will assist in releasing and rebalancing. I may also recommend or create herbal and aromatherapy products to clients depending on their conditions.
I specialize in chronic conditions, especially digestive, autoimmune, neurological, and endocrine. Each of my sessions is truly unique, as I view each of my clients as an individual with their own histories, needs, and wants for wellness. I have been able to help many with uncovering medical mysteries and getting to the root cause of any imbalance, injury, or trauma. Together, each client and I work to create and maintain an integrated management plan that will best suit their wellness wants and needs. Follow-up sessions are shorter and specifically target goals for the client’s management plan.
I would love to help revolutionize and change our healthcare system for the better. Everyday, I see clients who have been let down by their medical team and it is so saddening. Healthcare should provide lasting and effective solutions for everyone. My goal is to first transform my client's wellness journeys, but also our entire healthcare system.
Opening up Cottonwood Wellness Center was the beginning of a life-long journey to improve and restructure healthcare as we know it. Long-term, I envision having a fully integrated care center and holistic hospital to provide care to people at all stages of life and wellness. I would love to expand this concept into other states, and to work with groups to help lobby for and change our healthcare system in the United States. Furthermore, I would love to travel to other countries offering my services in clinics. My biggest goal in life is to help as many people as I can and to improve our world for the better <3
